EMI obtains its certificate of compliance with the GPI decree

15/06/2023

Various

Every year in Europe, more than 41,000 tonnes of industrial plastics in granulated form end up in the environment and in the oceans.

As a player in the plastics industry, we have taken various initiatives to protect the environment:

  • Formalisation, standardisation and verification of practices: cleaning line vacuum, 5S audit, emergency procedure in the event of dispersion, etc.
  • Installation of appropriate equipment: retention tanks, anti-pollution filters, etc.
  • Raising awareness among staff and our service providers: ecogestures, posters in identified areas, etc.

The actions we are implementing are in line with our Quality - Safety - Environment policy and also have the advantage of reducing the risks of falls and keeping the premises clean.

Thanks to the deployment of these operations, we have obtained a certificate of compliance with Decree 2021-461 of 16 April 2021 for compliance with provisions relating to the prevention of losses of industrial plastic granules into the environment.
